A Bit of My Story
I have been creating art my entire life. No matter what career path I convinced myself I wanted to travel down, my dream has always and will always be to create art.
I discovered my love for making and painting tiny things in 2019 after watching one of my favorite artist do a painting pennies challenge on YouTube, and I had to try it. That was my domino effect for selling my work, I had discovered a passion for something weird and I knew I had to run with it.
I first picked up a brush at 15 months old, testing out an arts and crafts activity for my older sister's Girl Scouts troop. Since then, I have won 1st Place in the Junior Federal Duck Stamp Contest three times in my age category, and finally winning Best of Show and moving onto Nationals my senior year of high school. I was the guest speaker of the 2021 Junior Duck Stamp Awards ceremony in Osage, Missouri.
I am currently a double major student at Lindenwood University studying Art and Art History, where I have gained several awards and recognitions throughout my time here, including winning 1st Place in both the Drawing and Painting category in the Lindenwood University Juried Art Exhibition in 2022 and again in 2023. As well as being recognized as a guest judge at both the 2022 and 2023 Augusta Plein Air Festival due to my high achievements in my Painting classes. I then went on to win 1st Place in the student category at Sugar Creek Winery during the 2024 Augusta Plein Air season.
I will forever be an artist. It is a key part of my identity and it took me a long, long time (and so much convincing from my mom) to get me to share that part of myself with others.
